On my alt account, http://bf2s.com/player/83965366/, the very first round I played was on Karkand and I got the gold with 191 points. People were calling me a cheater left and right. Saying how I'd be any clan's wet dream. My response was, "You really think this is my first account?"

As far as I'm concerned No Purple Heart > Purple Heart.  So he is better than you.

The stat system is never accurate at depicting good players via rank. But it does when looking at specific areas of a persons stats. Such as specifc K/D ratios in weapons and vehicles. I wouldn't mind knowing what other people think of me depending on how my stats look either :p.

I can't get my general rank because i have to play an extra 100 hours despite reaching the minimum points/awards requirements. 100 hours of more bf2 (in public servers) is not what i had in mind :p. Which is a shame because i wanted to finish this game at least at 1 star general, but i guess the birdy rank will suffice.

It would have been awesome if there was some sort of consistant ranking system, so you do get demoted if you play poorly, and get promoted if you play exceptionally well. Instead its a very RPG styled ranking system, you just "level up" as soon as you reach a certain points requirement. The only difference with RPG leveling up, you tend to get charactistic boosts, whereas in BF2 you just get a new picture of your rank next to your name on the scoreboard and are able to use 2 extra weapons depending on your rank.

But hey, this is DICE we're talking about, not blizzard. ;p

Apparently you need 1080 hours minimum time spent playing the game. I fall short of about 100 hours :p. So by the time i actually play 100 hours i would be elligable for 2 star or 3 star but need to play EVEN more since there is a miminum time requirement for generals.

The system must reward persistance or something :p "THE MORE YOU PLAY THE BETTER YOU ARE!11" But, some players are penalised due to gaining points faster than the norm. :p

You ever consider that some people actually tried to get that award?

I did. 

Why?  Because at the end of the game, I want to see all the awards, not all but 1.  I got it on my third day playing because that was the first award you could possibly get.

(Yea, I started playing the day the game came out)

I agree with the above Post.

Personally I don't get in Air Assets in a game where we have a chance at winning.  However, if the game is a lost cause or no-one is waiting for a chopper I'll take it for a little spin.  Not doing it with jets, because I have NO flight experience.  What the heck though, if I take a plane and crash it it'll re-spawn for you pretty quickly. 

In general I try to leave OUR vehicles for my teammates and try to steal enemy vehicles/helos, yes, it's allowed on the server I play on.
