Anyone know any servers that run this. It has to be the worst map for IO solely because the US side would have to swim for a good 20 mins before they would reach the combat zone.
No, IO servers like that such as Wake Island still have boats...but the USMC always lose on it.
or Zatar Wetlands
Negative.
Maps where there is impassable water between flags always have boats.
Iron Gator even allows the commander to drop boats with the vehicle drop order.
(I wish this would always be the case whenever you drop a vehicle over water areas.)

There used to be a server that ran all of the vanilla maps on IO. I often saw it on Wake, Cleansweep etc - and it was always 32/32.
I dont know if it still runs though. BMC clan or something.

You get to use boats on OCS but it was extremely boring. Some maps were made for IO(Karkand, Jalalabad, Sharqi,) and some were made for vehicles(Operation Clean Sweep, Zatar Wetlands, all the Chinese maps).
lol @ IO Zatar.
Don't forget IO Mashtuur.
I don't know why cos its a bit crap but yeh....

IO Dalian Plant would be fun for the Chinese You'd need marathon runners to traverse the damn map.
IO Gator is the worst, impossible to get into the Air craft carrier.
iv never played wake on IO but id think u.s would win quite easily on this map because there are no j10s and it provides easy access to the island (grab a boat and go out wide like you usually would)-Gunsmoke- wrote:

take the airfield straight away and then procedd to flank em from both the carrier and the airfield
Nah, you get hit by about 20 AT missiles. If you get on the Island though it can get pretty intense.I.M.I Militant wrote:

IO don't remove boats... no matter what map... still must suck badly...
ive tried Zatar in OI, the walking made u so bored of the map.... like 3 mins between each flag with 10 snipers camping it.
im thinking of making some air maps IO on my server just to try something new.

wake IO is great for flipping a boat and repair-padding in peace
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Lol Fushee would suck as IO.
I would actually enjoy Wake again if I found an IO server of it. Nothing worse than being Chinese, all other flags capped except for North Base and being raped by about four jets, with 30 snipers camping around the spawn point.

Yeah I've played it in no-vehicle mode, once I think, but I haven't seen one in a while. Harder to find even than Wake servers running IO.simmy.uk wrote:

Always lose? I don't know who you've been playing with but IO Wake actually gives the Americans the best chance of having a fair fight these days.-Gunsmoke- wrote:

Yep. Even a small force (five guys maybe) can stop any amount of attacks from all directions, if they know what they're doing. Small version is the only viable one because everyone starts on the carrier.Masterstyle wrote:

I've played it lots of times and if the USMC get a foothold on the island (any flag, doesn't matter which one) some of the best open-area infantry fighting in the game ensues. And they've only got, what, 124 landing spots to pick from? Remember the PLA have to go everywhere on foot, so if you're on the north part of the island and you want to round the corner of the Airfield to get to a south base you've got a long walk ahead of you... unless you want to risk swimming.
And think about it, at the start of the round even the boats starting out at Artillery Island don't have to face any DPV or tank MG fire from the PLA players, who have to go on foot to the northern or southern tips; boats starting at the carrier are effectively untouchable. And like there's going to be a good number of guys hanging around all the rearward bases just on the off chance of meeting incoming boats... this is BF2 after all, 98% of players are not really interested in the good of the team as a rule.

kubra dam would be the worst.
On 16 player IO Kubra Dam is massively fun.twiistaaa wrote:

no Oilfields IO 64 players is probably the worst.
I joined Iron gator when I got SF a few weeks ago but it was IO (didn't realized that first) So actually half the team was Antitank on top of the carrier and half the team was Anti tank in the big opening (as that was the only place they could enter the ship. Sraw/eryx all the way, they had no chance. Some maps really don't need IO

SF is all about I/O at least most of it, what I want to try is maybe some AF I/O or EF I/O.
