M95 its ass! Down to the ground!
WAY more effective then most think....If its smoking decent, and has no good cover close by you have a damn good chance of taking it down as long as you hit the cockpit glass as many times and as quickly as possible....

But yeah, when you shoot a chopper even with a rifle you get credit as the last to attack, and any points from its crash. I've  gotten a few kills from shooting at a chopper I KNEW was gonna crash, its not a bad idea to take a few shots anytime you see a pilot who looks like he is loosing it.

I've taken a chopper down with my pkm several times. It was smoking so I just pounded it and eventually started smoking and blew up. Also, if you see one on fire. Open fire and you might get lucky.

I once emptied nearly two belts of PKM ammo into an AH-1Z without it starting to flame... and I swear it stopped smoking by itself as it flew away (although it could have been just my sucky graphics). This is what led to my question here http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=39441&p=2 just to check to make sure you couldn't repair one in midair. Still dubious about that one.

Even if it isn't smoking, if you have the M95, start unloading into in 2 clips you can get it smoking, and yes some chopper pilots are stupid enough to hang around for that long thinking "What the hell is shooting at me?"

Oh and nothing beats lucky headshots on the pilot with the M95.
