The stinger lock, it was fast! As it's now it feels like you can outrun the stinger missile with a buggy The missiles are not my friend in the heli btw, they go all around like fire crackers. Can't hit anything with them.

I don't want this patch, like the game as it is. Me just wan't bug fixes and cheaters busting.

i dont see whats wrong with trowing c4  like tossing it onto a tank    i hate it when people throw it at infantry tho    but throwing it around a corner as not to expose yourself to fire and other things like that will be missed       and some times you have to jump over sumthing and shoot down at a person behind it   they just should have made jumping and shooting really inaccurate  because i guess it would be in real life

have mixed feelings about this patch. the 8 missile heli clip thing doesnt bother me much, as Im usually a good aim and can take the target out in 5-6 (depending on what it is of course). the quicker stinger lock on is shit though, and not being able to throw C4 is shit, but still, trying to stop people noob toobing (even tho i do it) is a good thing.

when is the 1.2 patch supposed to come out?

This makes me like the game even more. Finnaly some good work from EA. If they would ask no money for the patch, I'll change my signature. Untill that time, they're still money gathering wolves.

They're not asking for money for the patch. Only for the booster packs. See the difference? PATCH=mostly bugfixes=FREE. BOOSTER PACK=new content=YOU PAY FOR IT.

yeah! can't wait! I have to say I agree with most of the problems addressed were fair, I would have to say that jumping and not be able to shoot is kind of unfair. At least have a delay, you can't shoot right after jumping, probably on the way down(?) or make it wildly innacurate.

Well the Movie just confirmed the UAV is going to look like the Predator and not the Global Hawk as i expected so thats cool as for the Jump and shoot good bye so glad to see you go (Yes i cant do it so i beat you to it lol) as the Bounce the GL look out world we are going to have bouncing GLs everywhere lol it will be handy for places where you need to get it into a corner around the corner lol

I can't wait to see a bunnyhopper try and nade me, just to watch his little nade bounce off the ground harmlessly, after which I tear his face off with my shotgun.

Better AA locks, woohoo!!! Finally, AA that does it's job. I don't mind the fact that stingers couldn'thit aplane, I don't really expect them to hit Planes regularly. However, they should be able to take out choppers, which they can do now. And hopefully, it reduces the chance of my missiles finding a nice friendly chopper to slam into.

That grenade launcher change looks like an improvement to me. . . I like the idea of a min. arming distance.  Looks like my accidental suicides - will be reduced. And bouncing grenades off walls to kill/damage enemy targets - looks like something I am going to enjoy doing!

The removal of shooting while jumping - is a stupid change though - but since it's the same for everybody - I don't care that they changed it - big deal and so what.

The video says AA kicks chopper ass - but will it kick plane ass? I hope so! I dislike having no decent ground options against aces in planes more.

The commander Bug also seems fixed....
When the uav is placed by the commander it scans exacly where it was placed...
on some Maps (zatar;...) the assets were way off the target area... like 200m to the west and 500m to the south....

It is an object in the game and you can shoot it down but you can not be pilot....

Okay, there definately has to be some level of reality to this game. And yes it is a game, but there can't be anything totally unreasonable about it. Ground troops should have almost no options to take out planes. Stingers should land the occasional hit, but not be devastating to planes. If stingers are given guaranteed plane hits (without flares being dropped), then we might as well put in the DooM BFG in just to give infantry a more level playing field against tanks or for Rambo vs. the organized squad.

Learn to live with planes attacking you (and how to make yourself a difficult to hit target - even aces can't make every shot), or learn how to fly and take them out.

EDIT: I do like that helo's are no longer impervious due to the mysterious random miss factor (especially with the BH).

Uh, I do know how to fly - both choppers and planes - but that doesn't seem to help - since I am usually competing with some on-line (on my team) vehicle-hording-jerk who is willing to do whatever it takes to get that vehicle. OR I am getting double (triple) teamed by the enemy when my side is not doing the same.

Also I have been on clan servers where they, through a cooridnated effort, steal that equipment from you effectively and early on in a round. Also(!) between having pilots delibrately crash a chopper when I am in the gunner posistion, or when I am in the pilot position the gunner refuses to shoot, because in both circumstances they want their buddy with them; not me, accidental TK's due to freindly AA, intentional TKs, etc., I welcome any and all improvements in AA.

EA can't code out the jerky behavior of on-line players who are vehicle hording jerks - but they can fix AA.

There is a big difference in almost no-option and somewhat of an option (AA as-is - NOW - sucks that bad against planes! You have to be lucky to hit it while it is flying away from you on a bombing run! If you're not blown up already!). AA should do what it is intended (in-game) for and often placed at - defend main bases (where strategic equipment spawns) from super easy plane attacks.

A plane moves so fast that AA should be excellent when locked - an ACE pilot should not be able to just fly straigt at a (main strategic) base and not worry about AA. . . . AA as it is right now he can. His bombing runs should not be as frequent and they should be more tactical - BF2 maps are TINY (utterly UN-REAL) considering jet-speed.

Other BF2 maps (other than Karkand, or other city maps) will get more time played by FPS players that prefer the infantry aspect of the GAME.

And tanks, APC's, jeeps won't anymore just be score boxes lit up for easy plane kills - an AA lock will/might mean something to worry about.

AA needs to kick plane ASS so they actually worry about it - and develop tactical runs to avoid it directly. Also  planes don't even land to reload bombs/missles - please refrain from suggesting reality to me in the future - me thinks you know better than that?

BF2 is a 3d stylized version of reality, somewhat realistic looking, but truly and utterly unreal in many important aspects.

Here is an incomplete list of some the utterly unreal:
1.) Blown-up people brought back to life with shock-paddles.
2.) A magic wrench that fixes nearly everything.
3.) Supply bags that reload anything that needs ammo.
4.) Planes & choppers that reload and repair in flight by magical transfusions.
5.) Wounded people, tanks, jeeps, etc. that continue to work perfectly until that last red bar of life disappears.
etc . . .
