Hey all,

Here is my problem.  I have been on some servers and had the priveledge of being in a squad that communicates and has focus following the commanders orders.  Those gaming experiences were awesome.  The problem is, that has happened four times in my total two months of play.  Finding a squad like that seems to be extremely rare.  Now my request is to ask any who read this to post some servers where good squad teamwork and communication is the norm.

Half the time nobody even utilizes the mic in squad play and teamwork suffers big time.  Then you have people joining the squad to lone wolf.  Now I know these problems have probably been written about hundreds of times on this site...but, again, it would be much appreciated if someone could list a couple of servers that utilize good teamwork and squad based tactics.  Thanks for reading.  And thanks in advance for any and all help on this topic.

HellisLoose!!! and Team Wonderful's. Most people use mic's. Theres also a non ranked, "tacticalgamerz.com" server where youre required to join a squad, some of the best players play that server.

I would suggest finding someone (or a couple people) in game who you like working with and then get Xfire so you can game with them.  I think PBF has an Xfire ring you can join as well.  I would give you a direct link but I am at school at the moment so the site is blocked.  Just go to www.planetbattlefield.com then click forums then BF2 and I beleive there is a sticky thread with instructions on how to join.

You could try the "TNT" server that my mates and I play on. Usually there is a compitent (sp) commander and the players on there are good at tactics. However like any server there are idiots on from time to time. Not to blow our own horn but those of us on that server that wear the " =1%=" tag always use in game speak and rely heavily on tactics and teamwork as we know that it "does indeed" work. I have been playing for about 6months now and have been through many servers and this I have found is pretty teamwork friendly...that is my two cents. I do however like this thread very much and I am excited to hear about other servers to play on. But it is nice to have guys join our squad simply on the basis that we use squad tactics and listen to the commander . Believe me when I say that I do not!!! allow poeple in my or our squad who want to run off and do there own thing...I am tired of poeple joining the squad becasue we have the top scores on the map...point short...no freeloaders allowed. In ending the IP is 70.86.91.26. again this is a "tnt" server and I have no affiliation with them but it is at least worth checking out. Perhaps in a short time our clan will be established with a web site and server to play on where proper tactics will be a requirement. Until then enjoy this and let me know if you find others please....

I've been seeing more and more "Join a squad or get kicked." type servers lately, which is cool.  Only problem with it is, same dummies who weren't gonna join a squad are now just gonna join a squad and not cooperate with them.

The best ones I've found (aside from playing with my clan on TS obviously) have been people with mics in a squad.  I find that naming your squad "Mic-Users" or something to that effect helps greatly.

[DHG] Doghousegamers Ranked (70.86.236.118:16567)server is squad based ...we believe in teamwork and a non mobile commander ...server is only a 16 man but ran on 64 size maps. Come check us out and join the dhg squad. Plus weplan to increase player amount over time. Also offer teamspeak.

I've really enjoyed playing on the following two servers because the players seem to be rather focused on team play...

DSW Squad (Dark Side Warriors)
SGA (Senior Gaming Association)

On any given day, you can join these servers and find functioning squads and commanders.

One comment to the whole "mics" issue, A LOT of servers tend to support Ventrilo or TeamSpeak VOIP in addition to Battlecom.  For that reason, you may be trying to communicate with your squaddies, but not be on the same "wavelength" as the others.  Check their loading screen and look for their "Vent/TS" IP and login info.

One comment to the "lone wolf squad member" issus:  As a commander, I often find it difficult to manage the course of battle when I have two SUPERSQUADS of 6 members and the rest are singles or duos.  The "Divide Squad!" command seldom works.  I'd rather get the 6P Squad Leader to set "dual attack points" for his squad than try to coordinate the work of two or more single squads.
