Don't see how its any error on the DGSE 's part. The article says they passed the info to the CIA. What more could they have done?

It's not a hard stretch to imagine certain politicians wanted a war in the ME, and waited for some sort of event to justify it.

The...scope and breadth of the attack was not anticipated I don't believe.

One of the issues that i covered in this thread usmarine !

There where warnings from several sourses and all of them handed over to the US government, not sure you could call that a worldwide failure as much as a local failure really !
