So you've personalised your PC's GUI beyond recognition so it no longer looks like windows and there's nothing left to do right? Below I've written a little guide to "Mouse Gestures" and I hope it doesn't sink to the bottom of the page and then off. Who knows if enough people find it helpful it might get stickied!
Anyway once you start using these I'm pretty sure you'll get hooked on these and won't uninstall them! Give them a try.
What the hell are mouse gestures?
I'll start with the textbook answer:
Sounds weird, so why use them?
It sounds a bit silly but it's really cool once you get into it, and everyone who's used my PC loves it and finds themselves trying to use mouse gestures on their own PC at home! Also it allows you to get rid of the navigation toolbar freeing up some screen space and making your browser look a bit more slick. I find myself trying to use it all the time in other programs and I wish every program had gestures!
Mouse Gesture examples?
Back (Left): Goes back a page in the browsing history.
Forward (Right): Goes one page forward in the browsing history.
Close Tab/Window (Down-Right): Closes the active tab, or if there is only one tab, the window.
New Tab (Up): Opens the link crossed by the gesture in a new tab. If there is no such link, an empty tab is opened.
New Window (Down): Opens the link crossed by the gesture in a new browser window. If there is no such link, an empty window is opened.
Open links in tabs (end with Right-Up-Left): Making any gesture ending with a straight Right-Up-Left movement opens all crossed links in tabs.
Supported Mouse Gestures.
Note: You can also make your own personal gestures.
The Mouse Gestures extension also supports Mozilla Thunderbird, Mail and News (Mozilla's built-in email client) and Chatzilla.
Sounds pretty slick, OK I'll try it where can I get it?
