Every so often my monitor will just go blank and flash "No input signal". I tried adjusting the sockets, but that doesn't seem to work. When I reboot the computer the monitor comes on fine again. It's a recently new monitor (HP vs17e). Does anybody know how I can fix this cutting off problem?

Thanks, Ed.

check the connection to your graphics card...also check your graphics card is seated correctly inside your PC...

Could be a power supply problem also

yeah, push the graphics card to the slot to make sure it's seated ok and check all the monitor's cable connections. If all that is ok it might be the psu. I have that problem, and many others, when I play games and psu sometimes can't give enough power to graphics card. what psu and graphics card do you have?

edit: oh f***, my psu crashed the craphics card and shut down the monitor after 1 hour supreme commander game. couldn't even save the game

Sounds like a faulty cable, I had same prob with my other monitor £2-£3 new cable might solve it.
