Firstly, you'd somehow have to get the songs off the cassette onto the computer, which I'm not sure can be done.

Why not just download the music... would be easier.
go old skool and buy a tape drive, perhaps?
Just take your portable Cassete player, get a line that goes from it into your "line-in" computer.. and then use a program to record the "line-in" sound..

use Audacity (google it) to record music from your line-in input. then convert it to mp3. it's free.
