I don't have a hdd or graphics card up there because I will be getting them in a few months. I plan on getting an 8800 and 2x wd raptors. But for now I will suffer with my current hdd and fairly new graphics card ati 1600pro http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814102682

For anyone that cares my old system was a prebuilt mass produced system from MDG (www.mdg.com), this will be my first attempt at building my own pc my way and hopefully it goes well.

Yeah the case is sweet, I've had my eyes on it for awhile. I have or soon to be had heating problems but this case will cure that problem. A 200mm exhaust fan on the top/120 mm in the rear, 2 x 120mm intakes in the front that pass threw the hd area, 120mm on the side of the window area, and an optional 120mm fan inside to blow on the mobo/videocard area and it all glows blue

That system is kind of an overkill for your gpu ^^ So rather get the new one while it's hot.
Do you want to run the 2 raptors in Raid0?
Also, that Zalman is not the top choice. I suggest this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6835109125 with a nice 120mm fan like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6835220014

Yeah I want to raid the raptors and have 1 TB of storage. I realize my gpu is weak compaired to my new system but I ran out of funds =P. As soon as I get the money together an 8800 will be mine. I'm so excited I feel like a kid at christmas again.

PSU is over the top. Otherwise very nice system.

850W is a LOT. Unless you plan on running 8800GTXs in SLI or R600s in Crossfire or something, you won't need it. 600W (maybe 650W to be on the safe side with an 8800GTX or R600) will be fine if you don't intend to run multiple GPUs. In any case, 750W will do for a system running 8800GTX SLI provided you have 40A on a 12V rail (or total if you have more than 1 12V rail).

I got that PSU for future upgrades (2x8800 in sli) but I appreciate your input. I tried to build this to make it easier for future upgrades without having to spend another 200+ for a diff psu + gpu's. I always purchased premade computers and use it for like 3-4 years and buy a whole new one. I realize now that it was a TOTAL waste of money over $10,000 dollars worth. I could of already had a top of the line kick ass computer like Kmarion if I would of done this earlier.
