everytime after a while, my media player will just screw up and look like this:

idk why either, but its really annoying, wmp11 does it, winamp, fail.

what do i do?!

Erm..it looks like your running too much at once. Battlefield on its own is a resource hog. Unless this is new and you're used to running battlefield with other applications.

also if you are doing all this with little ram it will kill ur system.

Both are trying to access the same resources through DirectX.

DX accesses the hardware directly and having two programs using the same hardware at the exact same time is not a good idea.  Compounding this is the fact that DX is buggy and DirectShow (used for movie style video in most Windows apps) is REALLY buggy. 

that is likely what you are running into: corruption of DirectX.  Rebooting solves it, or just running one app at a time.
