i justpress the numbers, easier than using the mouse wheel.
use the number keys... "1", "2" etc. press "3" once, it's semi auto, press it again, it's burst...
To be really honest, mouse wheel is for NOOBS, no offense. But when u master the keys, you won't have those problems

I use the right hand side of my keyboard (the arrows as opposed to WASD) and i have my Primary Weapon key set to the '#' key. It's right next to my little finger so i can change fire modes quickly and easily, it also allows me to switch to my Primary quickly if i get caught out with a medic bag in my hands. I would strongly suggest you change your Primary Weapon key to something that is easy to press quickly - it will help your game no end.
oh sorry no on tolllllllld me the mouse wheel was for noobs.....~~~ i guess the numbers are gunna be the only ways just sum times when im walken around and im bored i just cycle through with the wheel then bust out what ever i need
hey vega thanks im on a lap top ( its a pretty good one so the game actually runs lol) so i cant use the side pad, good idea tho thats probly what ill do just change my primary and try to break the mouse wheel habit
I have my primary on the mouse wheel button. Mines u can press. alot easier than fumbling with the number keys. that way i hit it twice and im back to auto or burst. kinda stupid if u ask me there should be a seperate key for fire rate.
My setup is similar,I also use the arrowkeys and all important functions(go prone, firemodes, weaponswitch,NV,Gasmask, camera, etc.) are on the numpad,on the delete-block are the positions in the vehicle.=FDX=VEga wrote:

Mousewheel-switch is too slow and definetely a bad idea in situations where you have to react quickly.
i use the fast cycle key i've memorized all the classes so i know how many times to press it for wich weapon i want.
my mousewheel is set to an alternate fire button for hot and spicy dao action.
Is there NE way you can type the extra letter and say any?
I have it set so my mouseweel button (if you press it down) is weapon slot 3, if i press it when im on anything i immidiately switch to my primary weapon and if im already on it the fire mode switches.
Click button, semi, click button, full auto and numbers for all the fun stuff.
I also use f as a fastswitch so i can quickly pull a backup out.
Kooda

Ive got two extra buttons on my mouse (normaly back and foward on a web browser) under my thumb, one is always set to primary weapon (and so switches between single shot and full auto) and the other is set to item 6 (defibs, C4) so i can quickly switch between them. And the mouse only cost £6. Bargin. I'm still rubbish, but i dont get caught without a gun half as often any more.
I have my extra mouse buttons set to the Communication Rose (default Q - allows me to spot targets easily) and my enter vehicle key. All of my other keys are within reach of my keyboard hand.
us marine id like to point out your a douche for caring about that...
I use the mouse wheel for most of the weapons myself. mouse wheel click selects main weapon or changes fire mode, f pulls out pistol, other than that I just flip the wheel a few times, once you know the layouts and how far to move the wheel its very fast to switch to what you want. Besides, you wont be pulling out anything other than the main gun/pistol in a firefight. (well, maybe a knife if your desperate)
i only really use the mouse wheel to change fireing mode and weapon when i am no where near the fire fight. but once u r in one then u dont really have any option but to press the numbers once u have run out of ammo in your main weapon and need to change to the pistol.
although there are days when my fingers are not working properly and i end up bringing out a supply bag or the wrench mid fight. i just hope the other guy thinks i am nuts and runs off in fear!

I don't "care." I just thought I'd point out that it is gay.Adam5286 wrote:
