his death may be influential because what has happened after his murder, There has been movies made about him, many tributes, and yet his records still continue to sell. He may be considered a role model for some people and is proof that someone from a hard childhood can be successful if they work hard and put there minds to it. People look up to him and strive to be the best they can be with the cards they are dealt.

I was there the night he got shot, I had just pulled into the then Maxium Hotel & casino for my security shift.
I got out of my car & heard the shots & ducked instinctively. I didn't know who had been shot till later, but I saw the whole thing, It was a black BMW with a sun roof with 4 black males inside. The plate was from Cali but I couldn't make out the No#. When I tried to help the police they said they had all the information they needed.
The reason it affected people the way it did is because he reached a lot of people with his lyrics which actually meant something & that he flowed so well, kinda like snoop dog or ez e.
In addition anytime a popular artist is killed or dies the music automatically gets a push up to legendary status i.e. Kurt Cobain.

The Music industry lost a good rapper. And his death is so influential because it really brought the ugliness of killings in the rap industry to light. Other than that his death wasn’t that influential. (at least
to me) Just another dead famous guy.

His death didnt exactly influence the world at all, i dont see a single thing changing since his death. If anything it showed the world that the group called "police" arent here to protect the innocent or uphold the law anymore, they are purely govenment revenue raisers.
It also showed the world that off duty police officers are murders just like the on duty ones.
Defintly not one of the more important assasinations of our lifetime or century even. And im a fan.
He may have influcenced the world by creating a sub genre of music, which paved the way for commercial artist to market a " thug life " ie Ja Rule DMX etc.
By the satement how did his death influence, indicates a change trend or following occuring after it, and i dont think any did . Apart From the realization any rapper signed under suge knight at the time that they were in at the deep end.

Tupac's death really shook the world from the perception that idols were immortal. Previous generations had dealt with deaths of famous artists (John Lennon being the most obvious), but to this new generation that already had a strong sense of immortality, tupac's death was a shock.

Also, there is glory in death, and his death led to glorifications of that lifestyle.

Sorry i can't help more... I have an hour long "Hip-Hop and the Paradigm of American Youth's Conformation" rant... about 20 minutes of which revolves around 2pac's influence, both living and posthumously, and i really don't want to start typing it...

Biggie (BigE) anyone? Does nobody remember the whole 'war' between them? The first time Tupac got shot he made a song named 'Who Shot Me?' and Biggie came out with 'I shot ya'. And if I remember correctly, Biggie got shot not long after Tupac's death.
