The dryer can't have a lock on it because otherwise you can put a person in there and lock the door, ending up with someone who is very burnt and possibly dead. Next time just put up a sign "dryer in use, please wait" or something of that nature, whoever removes your clothes if the sign is up and visible is either blind and deaf, or really really stupid, at which point you can proceed to sue them

Yes, I understand why the dryer can't have a lock on it.

Edit: also helps if you don't want a full cycle i.e. my friend does a 10 min dry cycle for polos which he calls "wrinkle-release" ... if the dryer locked that would mean people like my friend would end up with REALLY shrunken clothes.

Oh, we should write a list of revenge methods for this.

I have another one, empty a bottle of food colouring of any colour, preferably red or blue, because yellow is lighter.

Two loads? C'mon man, I could believe you if you just wear black and white clothes but I think you don't. That's a universal washing law to separate clothes and wash them with the ones of the same color
OCD?
No - if you read the first part of what's highlighted: So as to save time.  An understandable reason, and not OCD.
I was refering to Yaocelotl's statement - "That's a universal washing law to separate clothes and wash them with the ones of the same color" - erm?! no it's not - I wash blue things with red things and green things and orange things - the colours never run. I've even washed whites and colours together. The need to seperate the wash into loads all of the same colour is suggestive of OCD.

Gotcha.  All is made clear   And yes, thank God for cold water wash: it solves all color separation issues

ooo, I have a good one (requires a lot of work, probably would get caught) but possibly take the comforter out, hang it outside her window, and spray paint a lovely little greeting and you're welcome for me paying for your use of the dryer all over it   Of course, it would probably be much more vulgar and she would not be receiving praise (in the form of a you're welcome)
