I am trying to completley remove BF2 from my computer. I had to do it manually because of some trouble I ran into. It is all deleted except ONE file. The name of it is bf2.jpg. When I try to delete it a message pops up that says
"Cannot delete bf2.jpg : Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."

What do I do? Will this file affect a new install of BF2? Should I just hide the file somewhere?

i dont think its going to affect your next install. u can try deleting it by going into Safe mode

Try renaming then deleting it. That sometimes works.
also restart your computer then as soon as u get into windows go to that folder and try deleting that file.

If that does not work go into the safe mode and try it there.

it means when you deleted a folder it was in is gone now, it was a .jpg pic, research and you will find that it to is gone,

Try deleting it by pressing shift + delete (it's a complete delete that overpasses the recycle bin).

How do you delete a file that doesn't delete?
You don't.

That's the logical answer.

This is where it's nice to have this happen on a Mac. Open the terminal, use sudo to execute a remove command on the pesky file, and it's gone

Unfortunately Windows =/= Mac and I don't remember the command. But yeah, try rebooting or safe-moding.

You can do it from dos, i had to do it once. (with a .jpg funnily enough).

This is porbably easier though.

Start, run, regedit. Go thru all your folders & delete anything pertaining to bf2, careful though you can mess up stuff good by deleting the wrong key. Reboot.

Have you manually uninstalled BF2 already? If not do this before reinstalling.

100% correct.

Honestly, the rest of the suggestions are for when the safe mode procedure doesn't work.
