That's my big problem with the TKing and punishment system in BF2 . What were the designers thinking ?
What compelled them to think that a 12 year old holds the compasion of forgiving someone who killed them by mistake ? Even when it's there fault . This is a serious flaw in design IMHO . It dosen't ruin the game but sure makes it un-enjoyable . Too many times had I exited the game in frustration . I think I've promised myself to never play this game again about 50 times because of crap like this . But I keep coming back for that one sweet 3 hour game that just kicked ass . I can deal with learning curves . I can deal with myself getting TK'ed even when I was like  " WTF was that guy thinking ? " I can deal with noobs doing stuff they shouldn't . But I simply can't deal with this stupid punishment system . I wish they could just make it simple . You get ten TK's and your out . Per round and you can check your status in the squad page or something .  If you notice your TK's are counting as long as you play on a server . On your 4th killer round of kicking ass and happen to get a TK , your gone .Exactly what happened to me that made me write this thread .  Even though you were kicking ass , even though you were a great squad leader and capped\saved so many flags . Dosen't matter , your gone . Ugh it's the worst system ever and I can't take it any more . Sigh .

no matter what fags will always be fags and punish you no matter what the cause is every one does EVERY one always says yes to every punishment.

They need to remove this gay ass punishment system.

5tks a round... imagine how many people would tk for viechles then man.. alot of people say take out the punishment if u die from sumones claymore or mines... but den they would lay mines infront of ur jet ... iv submited this idea b4 but ill repeat it for u hunny bunnys - if you get teamkilled and u choose to punish u must write a reason why and that reason would be posted to a admin or sumthing ... with a short vid clip of wat happend... and if u lie.. u get ur stats wyped clean off.. i no it sounds harsh but how else will they learn? it simply goes like this.,.. if u get teamkilled and u dont no how .. dont press the punish or maybe it could be like call of duty an show a replay... what do u think guys.. it would take E.A alot of work but god it would make everyone alot happier and the game atleast 5 times more enjoyable

I barely ever punish.  I realize when I make a mistake and I forgive...unless u an idiot that played with me last nite on a Sharqi game...saw me takin an enemy flag while in an apc, and just as i get the point...they surround me with mines.  Yeah I drove over them cuz I didn't see the one at my rear and didn't think they got there to drop one yet...but I obviously died.  And I obviously punished.  But the happy ending is...just as I die...and enemy arty strike comes in and takes this guy out seconds after I die.  Sweet revenge. 

i dont punish unless it was intentional, and even then i sometimes dont.  i just dont get why people punish at all...

Man, I am totally with you there.  When I first started playing BF2, I used to be the one who'd punish people on my team who ran me over with tanks, transports and such.  As time has gone on and I've been the one driving the tanks and other vehicles, I have realized that you can't always just stop on a dime to keep yourself from running over your teammates.

If I am driving a tank or APC, etc, now I almost always apologize with the "Sorry" on the commo rose.  I said almost always because there's times when I am taking fire and it's just not conducive to do so.  If I am on foot now and get ran over by vehicles, I never punish anymore.  Maybe some of these people who are punishing are just not experienced enough to realize what all goes into using those vehicles?  In general, I punish about 5% of the time anymore to be honest.  Reason being is that 95% of the time, the thing that the person did to tk me is the exact same thing that I've done when tk'ing someone else in the past.  I realize this philosophy won't keep asshats for punishing me for stupid things in the future, but at least I know I am doing what seems right to me.

I hate when some fucking assmaster runs in front of my tank when I am driving. Then punishes me. I qwonder if the dumb shit ever walked in front of a moving car. probably not, because he knows he'd get fucked up. I don't get why people punish over accidental shit.

the only time I ever punish is when some fly-boy tk's me with his m95 so he can have 'his plane'.
(thats even worse when they think its their plane so 'Ill just jump infront of you while you take off, and punish when I get run over')

When someone teamkills you, think of this:

1.  Was it intentional?
2.  Was that a claymore I stepped on, and not a nade shot at me?
3.  Did I just drive my jeep into his tank, killing me?
4.  Was there anyway I could have avoided the teamkill?

Follow these steps, and you figure out if you should punish or not punish.  I don't punish people, no matter how pissed, if they say sorry.  Even if it wasn't intentional, and they don't say sorry, I punish.  Have them learn some respect.
