Quit without a loss

Ok...How the heck do you actually quit the game without a loss??? Im trying my damndest to work towards the War College Ribbon but if I cant figure this out Im not going to be able to play unless I can devote hours at a time, which with work and an active lifestyle makes it kinda impossible. Today for example, had about an hour or two to play, won three maps in a row and waited until the bar started loading at the bottom of the screen after the third map to show before I disconnected (changing maps from Surge to I think Warlord). Went to look at my stats...3 wins 1 loss. WTF?? That just totally negated any progress I thought I made. Yesterday played another short group and had exited in the middle of a game and got a loss for doing that. So how can you stop playing BF2 without getting a loss??? Do I have to wait until my team is 3 tickets away from winning and then jump out of it or something? I thought I had a clear answer on this by reading but obviously either way I exit I lose.

meh, with my kind of stats WCR is a impossibility!
i would however appreciate any ideas on how to win my win/lose ratio as well though...

quiting the game with out a loss simply has to do with which side you were on when u quit. when the game finishes if u were on the winning side u will get a win if u were on the loosing side u will be marked with a loss. if u take a look at my levithan stats u will see i have a win with no points that cause i went right into the game and left cause it was laggy and it gave me a win cause i was on the winning team.

as for tips for the war college ribbon u will have to figure them out for your self i considering to make an attempt to get that ribbon a form of stat padding. if u look around for war college ribbon topics u will see what i mean.

so even if its loading a new map and I quit, i will get a loss for quiting if the side I was going to be on after the load loses?

OK, I think I figured out a way to do this.

When the round ends, you get the rousing music and the "USMC or whoever has won the round" type message.

Press your escape button and disconnect before that screen goes, and you dont get a loss. If that screen vanishes, and you start another round or begin loading another map, then it's all down fate. Which translates as "another loss"

WRONG if you quit you suffer the fate your team does. Im going for war colloge and have a 2.4 win loss ratio. The trick is that once you spawn you are in the game. so you suffer the fate your team does

as soon as you are in a server for 5 or more mins, thats a round.
so if you quit after 5 mins you will get a result. weather it be a loss or a win depending on how your team goes after you quit.

How sure are you about this? Is it all theory or have you seen it happen for yourself? I'm asking cos a m8 of mine is after the WCR (he's got a bloody long way to go though so I do feel sorry for the poor chap, lol) and wanted to know how wins and losses are affected by things such as disconnecting, autobalance, team switching, etc. All I could give him were my own assumptions which I'm not 100% sure of

Ok...the whole in the server for 5 minutes Im not sure about. A) Ive received loses for jumping in a map, and then leaving as soon as I had connected. B) Have received loses when joining a map and it only had like 5 tickets left and I was on the losing side. And C) Have won/loss rounds from start to finish in 16 player maps that lasted less then 5 minutes (Just finished a group of 9 in 45 minutes..including map loading time). The only sure fire way I have seen to be able to quit without it counting as a win/loss is as soon as the round ends and it shows say MECS WINS (103-0)...leave then. Whatever you did that round counts, whether it was a win/loss counts, and you wont be part of the next fight. Oh yeah, at 1.76 now!! Started this thread when I was at like 1.2.
