Hit by an IED, the driver apparently lost his leg in the explosion and other crewman were injured.
I guess it was only a matter of time before a shaped charge took its toll.

Unfortunate incident to say the least. Like the article said, if the bomb is big enough no armor or vehicle is safe.

Go us, the Americans lose Abrams to conventional explosives and lose the driver entirely. We just fix it up and have to remove his leg.
