Seriously, just fuck it. I'm working on distinguished service medal, and its pissing me off that I can't get Commander most of the time.

For instance today I played in a server and applied for command. I have 8,000 more global points (including 2,000 more command points), and 10 more hours on commander than this guy. I have NO idea how this process works - I know rank is involved, does anyone know exactly how it works? I'm tired of this bullshit.

I think that only rank mean something. If you have same rank as that another applyer, that one who apply quicker will be commander. I can't be sure, but I think it's so.

EDIT: It looks like you are stat padder... For shame! Really. I hate nothing so much as stat padders!

I don't, it's some bug (?) in forums. If I delete message, it delete both messages and if I make new post after that it still add message twice. It's not because me, it's something else.

EDIT: And looks like it's still happening, and this is 2nd time for me here (same thing happened once about month ago)

The Commander Mode concept for this game is the only reason I bought the game. It was a bold and brilliant move by EA/Dice to embed an RTS mode in a FPS game.

The actual selections for command have always mystified me even though the process seemes to be simple enough. They used rank as a determiner but not actual command focused activity. The commander points didn't seem to be factored in at all (?). Something is wrong when a First Sergeant gets command and then flies an attack helo the whole game hardly using the tools. Game after game.

What needs to happen is the number of times a player uses all of the commander tools should be tracked and used as the determining factor for command selection. Give the Commander more credit for teamwork if he is using the tools and give him back the arty kills.

If infantry gets to bunny hop then tanks get to teleport.....

I'm a stat padder? LoL wtf does that have to do with anything - and also, what qualifies me as a stat padder? Because I get ass raped by someone at my spawn because he is sitting next to a supply box and tubing me (having my own teammates revive me to be tubed again, thank god), or raping an AFK kid on an aircraft carrier?

As for the application process - yeah, I was the same rank as the kid. They should really factor in more stuff than who clicks first - many people load faster than others - hell, if I drop my settings to low, I can have almost all of the mec flags capped on karkand before any mec player even spawns.

Either you Karkand whored for 5 and a half hours, and ignored every single one who died, or you stats padded. Either way, tsk tsk.

There are a few ways to pad heal points... but even if he did just run around, he could have atleast revived a few teammates...

Actually, I do average 4-5 hours of Karkand a day on Sunday-Tuesday, and Thursday nights. I got all those heals points because I was trying to get up to 750 so I could get expert first aid. I pissed a lot of people off by not reviving them, but hey - I don't revive whore in front of people who can kill both the medic and the revived, so I'm not a complete bastard.

Well that is total shit. Because i done the same thing on karkand.. constantly threw down my packs to get 25 heal points.. it isnt stat padding its doing your job as a medic.

So please for the people who think thats stat padding maybe you want to complain that medics shouldnt be able to revive too.. death breath now..

Yeah, it's some sort of problem with the forum where instead of redirecting you to the page where your post should be it instead gives an error message. Well that's wot's been happening to me and I sometimes end up having double posts which I find very annoying. I think this forum is conspiring to make me look like a retard with mystery double posts. And I'm not the only victim

The advanced ranks of 1st Sgt and Sgt Major will give you preference for command over those of Mstr Sgt and Mstr Gunnery Sgt respectively. Other than that I have no idea why you are not being selected for commander.
