BF2142 does not have choppers or jets.. it is a combination.. A VTOL gunship...
But 2142 is definately more balanced than the overpowered aircraft of BF2, so if all you fancy doing is whoring the aircraft in BF2, then 2142 is not for you, there is only one aircraft pr. team in Titanmode and most conquest maps and there is allways a queue to get it...
