Ever asked a soldier, off camera and off the record? Some of us here seem to believe that the man with the mic knows everything. News over there, and in particular embedded reporters, are there to sell stories and get airtime, often at the cost of the truth (or the entire truth).
My 'source' for the 2nd paragraph was one of my high school Civics teachers who also is in the National Guard, and is now stationed in Baghdad. Yes, this is only 1 person, so take it for what its worth, but yes also this one man is more credible than any 'unbiased' news reporter. From the soldiers mouth, the reporters over there hear a bang, and immediately piece togther several often-unrelated facts to get a story out first. Yes, sometimes the story is mostly correct, he says, but they sacrifice the whole truth in their desperation to get the word out first, and thus more airtime.

granted there is alot of terrible things going on over in the sand box, basically our Servicemen and women are dying for no reason, (i've been to 5 of my friends funerals from that shit over there) but there are a few good things happening there also, not many but a few. the iraqi's have been killing each other for decades, what makes us think that we can stop it in just a couple of years?? that video is about as real as it gets, but it's focused on the negative, which is what is mainly happening, but like i said before, there is some good taking place over there, it's just that you don't hear of it that often. does any of this make sense, i feel like i'm just rambling on.
