Hi there, I have a question for you bf2 players.  I bought both Euro Forces and Armored Fury via the EA downloader the week that each was released.  They both run fine and everything, but since I know that you can now purchase them in stores on disk...Ive been wanting to burn both boosters to a solid disk so that I will always have them without needing to go download EA Downloader and needing to remember a username and password.  I looked in EA downloader and it shows the 2 boosters as installed and ready to play.  I was hoping there would be an icon to just download the install files again, but it kinda looks like it wants you to uninstall the boosters before it will allow you to download again.  Has anyone successfully backed up the 2 boosters to a cd/dvd?  I guess the install files would be the preferred files to burn opposed to the installed files.  I am contemplating uninstalling the boosters and trying to use EA downloader to download the install files to a "virtual drive" created by the program Daemon Tools (very cool program that lets you make fake drives) and then burning the install files to disk from there.  Any suggestions would be great.  I dont want to go out and buy the boosters again, I just want a disk so I will always have them with no hassles.  Thx

You don't actually download a setup file. It downloads it somewhere, and then you click install on EA Link.

Wrong.

The install files are located in
C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Link\cache\{XXXXXXXXXXX}\bf2armor
and
C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Link\cache\{XXXXXXXXXXX}\bf2euroforce

Although I have backupped the contents of those two folders, I have never used it to install the boosters again.
So I don't really know if simply installing from them will work without having EA Link installed.
But I guess if you have done it once the proper way and you have linked your boosters with your BF2 account, it should work.

QFT. I did this very thing and backed them up onto CD. However, if you downloaded them with EA Downloader - and have since upgraded to EA Link, I found that they had been deleted. Since I had a problem with EF anyway, I had to uninstall all of BF2 and reinstall (and redownload the boosters) to get the .exe files back.

I was able to back up both AF and EF on to seperate DVDs.

And yes this was before EA downloader changed to EA link.

I also made my own cd autoload.
