Back in the Game.......

Havent played the game since last May.
Re-installed BF2 again last night.
Waited in eager anticipation as i downloaded the massive 1.41 patch (536MB).
Uploaded, saw my BFHQ screen again...
Loaded my favourite Aussie server.
Had visions of me pwning noobs.
Joined the game.
Joined a squad.
Contacted the enemy.
Fired my G36E.
Missed.
Got my ass pwned in return
AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN.
Looks like I'm the noob now...

I was downright hopeless! My aim was off, my reaction was turgid, I got my keys mixed up and lost all my finger memory, forgot the ins and outs of the maps.... etc etc
Games ended with something like 5 kills and 11 deaths (and that was one of the better rounds)

But.... it was DAMN FUN playing again!!!

I have returned to the forums (after a half year break..), installes bf2 + expansions ect ect.. but I have not yet entered a server.. now I'm afraid I wont be able to hit anything with my good ol' trusty buddy "M16A2"

I have tried the PR mod, that is nice! exactly what I missed in bf2 infantry combat..!

EDIT: oh, and welcome back good to see another regular return

I know what you mean about being a bit rusty. After spending a lot of my time as commander going for the WCR and also as sniper for my 100 hrs I lost a lot of sharpness in the other catagories. Its returning slowly though, just had a 32/11 round which while could be better was alright.

Im no oldie here on teh forumz but welcome back all the same!

Playing once every week or two is just as frustrating. Just intermittently enough not to polish the skills up ....
