and if you guys dont watch it, all the stuff on the market will become "Made in China", as a lot of things already are... the chinese economy and miltiary are expanding at an astounding rate...

Outsourcing to China increases Chinese GDP and reduces a) spending on domestic products b) workplaces in the domestic market. As the Chinese economy grows stronger by the day, we become more and more dependant on China. As labor costs rise there (which is inevitable), Chinese product prices will reflect immediately on the purchasing power of the consumer market in "western countries". Not only that, "western companies" will have it more difficult to "exploit" China in the same way that was the beginning of the China phenomenon.

These facts combined with the fact that China is a big player in keeping the US afloat by being a huge investor in US state bonds, make China more powerful than ever. The risk here lies, that if China would decide to steer its surplus elsewhere, the US would be, quite frankly, fucked. This situation would create an undertow that would drag the EU into a recession also, leaving China as the worlds most powerful economy.

Of course, at this point China would have difficulties to sell it's products to, but hey! They could always start manufacturing in low priced labor countries such as the US and EU to manufacture to the citizens of their welfare nation.

"The Asian mind game", it was about ancient strategies (from Sun Tzu and the like) and how they're today...Never show your true strength (fake stength or weakness), secure every possible advantage before engaging in battle, its okay to copy a good idea etc...

Funny that you should mention that.  That's exactly what goes though my mind every time I play an RTS.

He is right you know. If they lose us, it will hurt our economy pretty bad, but it would kill theirs, country would go into a state of anarchism.

Chinese tactics are very similar to the Soviet ones, numbers over technology, too bad that stopped being effective over 50 years ago.

A hundred Chinese or Indian coders for the price of ten American or European software engineers? Companies seem to find that option both effective and enticing.

eh? If they lose the US? Do you realize how many US bonds China has? It wouldn't just hurt your economy, it would have a devastating effect on the US economy, and probably on the world market, if they were to suddenly demand all their money back.
China owns the US, not the other way around.

This is so true. Do you realize how much LAND THE CHINESE OWN IN THE US? America needs to wake up, and start bringing that money back home. Our highways are being sold off to other countries as well.
