I'm about to reinstall my computer. But im not sure if I should instal XP Pro again or Vista Ultimate.

My computer can run it without any problems and I have no problem getting the Drivers that I need to get everything working. But since I have heard all the bad talk about it im not sure.

I have used XP Pro since it got released so nothing new about it.

Anyone help me out a bit? pls

XP Pro

You are going to have a bit of a learning curve with Vista, just about everything is in a different location now. Micro$oft at their same old tricks.

You could try Dual boot, so you can have both then.

i have one GB ram and vista runs just fine. i really enjoy it for everyday use. i would advise using xp pro for a little bit longer, wait for some time to pass and a service pack to be released, as there are still comptability issues and small bugs being worked out. but just installing it now is great too.
note: if you do duel boot MAKE SURE you install XP and THEN vista. Doesnt work the other way around. At least not very easily. I was extremely cranky for two days trying to get it to work before i gave up on it.

I dont got no probs with Vista Ultimate. Runs OK (except for a couple of legacy games that I'm currently
playing again.)

Have you tried running them in compatibility mode...  (Right click on the game Icon)

Two hard drives works best.

If gaming is of major concern, then XP Pro.  Vista is still immature, as are drivers for this OS.  There are many articles around the web showing the same games performing lower on Vista than XP, as well as many reports of games not running properly or at all.

Until Vista and the Vista drivers mature just a little more, XP is still the better gaming platform.
