If the EPA was truly concerned about the environment they'd push nuclear to eliminate the coal fired power plants that are still running.  But no, that would cost less and run more efficiently, we couldn't have that.

Not sure where you pulled the above talking points that were supposed to be common sense, but it took me about 3 minutes to fact check them.  Sounds like it could be Ann Coulter, she seems to have a thing against planet Earth, but any of the pundit shills could have written that.  I tried tracking down the source of the word "environut" but it seems to be too common usage now in Conservative blogs.  Holy shit, that was scary trying to sift through those.  The things those people think or rather "don't think" are the operative words...I'll be off tearing out my eyes now.  Goodnight.

The thought as i have understood it was that the buying of carbon credits was to equal the cost of buying and implementing new tech to reduce carbon emissions but distributing the cost of the credits over a period until you where financially capable of buying the tech necessary !

Alas just postponing the implementation of rinsing tech by buying credits !
