My Xbox360 arrived yesterday, but not allowed too use it until saturday. ( which is my b-day 28th april)

And i was just wondering about how xbox live is connected up.

I'm the only internet user in my house/and my computer is the only computer in my house.

Will the xbox live cable work with this modem and if so:
I would like too be able too use my internet while on xbox live... but as it seems i only have one port for the cable, any thing i can do about this?

And any other tips please :p?

Switch cables between using live and comp. That looks like a wireless router too.. doesn't the 360 have wireless support? Or do you have to buy their wireless router?

thats kind of what routers do lol, without a router you cant use the internet and live at the same time as far as i know.

you have a live account yet? what games do you have?

i think the yellow cable should just go away, and you put the cable from the 360 to the modem in the slot of the yellow cable.... ( I THINK ) i dont have a 360 put i remember i did the xbox live for my litle cousin a while ago...

tell us some news ...

Well i got xbox live not long ago and i was having problems connecting too.
So from how mine is connected i can say that with that router u wont be able to use live AND internet at same time UNLESS there is some kind of thing that goes into the port and gives you 2(you know like those things that goe from one to 2).Forget what i said just their. the wireless modem allows u to be connected without the wires(without that yellow cable) (DUH)?IF so all you do is put the ethernet cable into the xbox and the other end into that slot where the yellow cable is. If not(this is what happens in my case) you will need to buy a router with atleast 2 ethernet ports and then put it somewhere suitable (prefferebly in between the 2 systems(xbox,pc) if they are not close. So you put the xbox cable you get with the xbox into the back  of xbox(DUH) and the other end into slot one. then you will need to buy another ethernet cable and plug that into slot 2 and the other end into the back of pc. You will have to change some settings in your modem according to your isp. Im not an expert on this but you go onto the router site or something )it shud be in your router manuel) and then find the isp settings for using router ( shud be on your isp help site) and put them into the router.
then it should work both your pc AND xbox. I didnt actually do this myself but paid £10 to my local tech shop and they sent a guy other to set it up and this is what he did. If u really cant do it then i suggest you pay some trutworthy guy (a guy in a shop.NOT a non-expert) and he will set up your router and once that is set up that it all u do is plug the xbox cable into it( and into the xbox OBVIOUSLY) and thats it. I know it sounds stupid but i was struggling with it and after like 4 months i just gave up and luckily found a guy that set it all up for me i dont care about £10.  I was sooo happy *sigh* good times I hope this help atleast a bit and best of luck on settin up your xbox. I know how anoying it is to not have it all set up. Best of luck

PS: Im sorry if it was hard to read
