Where are these requirements coming from? The 'official' requirements only state time in theatre and global time as the two requirements...Epitome wrote:

It is definitely less than that, I think 10 chuy thinks 15... the lowest we can find is someone with 18 hours.whit0x wrote:
It is definately 250 hours and once you hit that you need to play as either side for 1 round and then they will appear in BFHQ. Time in Theatre is a bit grey as I had 53 hours for MEC and 56 for CHINA so it may be 50 hours per side???
Thanks for posting, but if you had searched just a tad bit more you would have noticed multiple new threads talking about this 'anomoly' already on these forums. We still do not know what exactly is going on with the old stats servers, perhaps they are messing around with stuff related to the upcoming patch and accidently broke a few things (someone else ended up with a navy cross medal...) Now to the point of the Theater Service Ribbons. I've done a lot of searching (on these forums, and others) trying to find exactly what criteria must be met for these two ribbons. Everyone seems to agree that a minimum of 250 global hours is required for either.
So imagine my surprise today when I checked the stats of a co-worker of mine, and lo and behold he's already earned the Far East Service Ribbon. It's a surprise because he's only played 39:52:37 (39+ hours). He got it this morning, playing a battle that started around 10:09 PST. I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet about it, so those are the only details I have.

So what happened here? My guess is this is some kind of anomoly? I know the Stats server was down for a bit earlier today, as the stat page I maintain for myself and three co-workers was erroring out. Did the server barf and accidentally award this to my friend? Have you guys who analyze the data in the DB ever seen anything like this?
I know that a bunch of folks got all the weapons unlocked a while back (which has since been fixed by EA). I wonder if something similar happened here?

And the 13 kills in a round is so easy that we "good 250 hour players" get it every round so that could be why we get it instantly after the 250h mark.

Anyway from my personal experience, the only semi-evidence I can figure is that I got it immediately after I played for 24 hrs. as MEC. This seems logical to me. Also, whoever said that there was no signal in round is right, I just looked at BFHQ and there it was and I had about 24 hrs and 8 minutes as MEC.
Either way, some of these "confirmed" requirements are ridiculous folks. I think we should all just give up on this one and focus on having fun and getting other awards. This will come in time.
Plus, I'm starting to think that a lot of the "confirmed" reqs. are wrong based on how many people are getting medals. They can't all be glitches. Also, I don't know about everyone else, but I always doubted that EA would make an award with a req. like 4000 global hrs. That's absurd. No one would get to that except the very few top players who have no lives. They wouldn't waste the time, money or effort to have a graphics designer create a beautiful medal only so 25 people in the world could get it. But whatever, I'm sick of this subject. It's been rehashed a million times.
