I was looking around eaplay.com, the ea website for australia and i came across this file http://www.eaplay.com/australia/downloads/tools/bf2awardsdashboard

Inside were pictures of "the available badges, medals and ribbons available in Battlefield 2" and i saw these three ribbons and 2 badges, which I don't think I've seen on UBAR or anywhere else.

These are the ribbons in question at 100% zoom

Maybe the last one is for naval combat somehow? since in 1942 you could control navy ships.

I found these badges on closer inspection of the picture. Seems like the bottom one is for binoculars.

Well the second and third ribbon as well as the first badge (life preserver) look naval.  The second badge looks like something for a (now deleted or future planned) scout class.  Binoculars would be for enemies spotted, or maybe air strike calls?

well there will be scout choppers in the new armoured fury booster...., but i have no idea what the badges could mean.

I want my old 1942 binoculars....
use them to find the enemy then use the sniper rifle to kill the enemy...

The first ribbon almost looks like an infantry version of the Armor Combat ribbon.

THe blue 2nd ribbon looks like the theatre service ribbons...is there a lost 4th army?...(by the looks of the emblem in the center i would guess EA thought that Atlantis would resurface in 2007 and have it as a theatre or something)

One last thing....
I THE BATTLESHIP TO BE BROUGHT BACK (I know we no longer use battleships but there was nothing better than seeing the explosion from the ship's main guns in the distance and thinking "Oh ยง&%$@#!!!" just before you are blown to the other side of the map)

lol, the first day that's confirmed the ocean will be filled with swimmers. And i'll get my boat and run them all over.

The life preserver ribbon is the noob jet pilot award. You get it after 5 successful Tks followed by crashing the F-35 into the ocean. I've seen all kinds of people going for that one.

well as said be before the 2nd and 3th ribbon and the 1st line of badges seem for naval battle
also the 2nd seems submarine battle and the 3th battleships
the second badges looks like something for capping flags or spotting
the first ribbon is maybe an infantry ribbon?

Well looking at the ribbons
the first one  looks similar to

the classic Infantry Officer Ribbon

thats:     
*  IAR: 25 minutes as Squad Leader
* Global: 250 Teamwork score

maybe its an extended ribbon for even more teamwork and time?

as for 2 and 3, id say deffo naval tho possibly the second is say a "pacific theatre ribbon" for a usa vs china naval carrier fleet map set?

the first line of badges are like the other vechile badges (possibly removed as they only mannable boat is the RHIB which is classed as a transport)

the binoculars could be for a scout chopper / class that spots enemy movments with binoculars?

What about the 'Driving Miss Daisy Award' ? Yeah, if we have the 'how long you been in the water award', you'll see alot of swimmers doing circles. Like I see the grappler and zippers just keep throwing at nothing. some of these badges/ribbons don't make sense.
