[*]An adolescent female Tyrannosaurus rex died 68 million years ago, but its bones still contain intact soft tissue, including the oldest preserved proteins ever found, scientists say.
[*]And a comparison of the protein’s chemical structure to a slew of other species showed an evolutionary link between T. rex and chickens, bolstering the idea that birds evolved from dinosaurs.
[*]The collagen proteins were found hidden inside the leg bone of the T. rex fossil, according to two studies published in the April 13 issue of the journal Science. Collagen is the main ingredient of connective tissue in animals and is found in cartilage, ligaments, tendons, hooves, bones and teeth. It yields gelatin and glue when boiled in water.

Heard about this a few days back, pretty impressive.
All I need is some dino-DNA, a microscope, and a female chicken, and the dino-chicken will begin.

Ladies, Gentlemen, No need to worry about it! It's just a test of faith. These are only world scientists making these discoveries. All i want you to do is ignore there prooven facts and intellegent predictions. Just stare and nod politely

Since the collagen proteins in the leg bone are found in hooves, the T-Rex must be related to Betsy the cow, too.

What sick fuck would make all these convincing "tests of faith"  and then throw nonbelievers into an eternal torture.

I'd rather believe in what scientists during my lifetime say, rather than an old story that's been changed and translated a thousand times.

certainly interesting though

That's like linking humans to chickens because they both have fat cells. It says collagen is found in hooves, but the particular collagen proteins found in the T-Rex were linked to chickens.

Maybe the t-rex just ate a chicken before dying, you know, like in the Chicken Mc Nuggets
