They are shooting ALOT of bullshit right now (both sides) and it won't be till next year that the media really gets into them

The Democratic Debate was shown and talked about on MSNBC Thurday night. Im sure the Republican debate will get the same.

I'm a left-leaning moderate, but I like Obama.  He's pretty much everything Bush isn't.  We need someone like that right about now.  I'd certainly prefer him over the war nuts that currently run things right now.

Very good points, and for the record, I now prefer Edwards.  Obama really does seem like an empty suit as ATG had said earlier.  It's a shame....

Kmarion's super frieds video was so funny. It also made me glad I won't turn 18 until 16 days after the election is '08.

I think the context of the question was whether or not what the U.S. is currently engaging in is a War on Terror.

You could argue that we still are in a War on Terror with regards to Afghanistan, but...  we spend a lot more on Iraq than Afghanistan.  So, if we look at this in terms of the current focus on Iraq, then no, it's not a War on Terror.  Iraq isn't about terrorism.  The only halfway rational reason to stay in Iraq involves concerns of regional stability.  Terrorism may play a part in the conflict in Iraq, but most of it involves sectarian hate.

In short, Iraq is a Civil War, while Afghanistan is a war against terror.

The fact it's vote only means they can't really clarify themselfs on that. They may mean, no, it's a war on getting Mr Bush and Co some oil, or something.
