No. Norton internet security works fine with this game and computers. Takes a bit of the system resources but its fine.

Try and make sure that you have it allowed in the internet access menu in Norton. But I seriously doubt that Norton is the thing having problems. Try the punkbuster update

Also, try going into the documents and settings and deleting the entire battlefield 2 folder. Thats where all of the old settings are stored and it wouldn't hurt to start over with them.

Well fuck it isnt working AGAIN. Guess that other thing didn't work...anyone got any other ideas?
I have problems with my router quite a bit.  Every so often it starts acting up where it will drop connection for about 1 to 3 seconds then it will come back.  The little bubble will pop up in the bottom right corner of the task bar saying "network cable is unplugged" and "then change to network cable is now connected".  If you are able to, unplug your router and modem and run a cat5 cable directly from your modem to your computer and then turn your modem back on.  If the troubles go away then you will know it's your router.

This works for me and I just leave the router unplugged for a couple of hours while I play then go hook everything back up and the router will usually work for a few days or a week or two, just depending what kind of mood Mr. D-Link is in.

Hope this helps.

Lots of my clannies have had this problem, now they have got rid of the most annoying (anti)virus progam ever, being Norton, and have installed AVG.  It works great, and is FREE.  Norton SUKS!!!!

I keep getting kicked from a server after loading up before I can even click the "Join Game" button. It says "Your connection to the server has been lost". Sometimes I can play and then I end up getting kicked for that message later.

- I am on a router
- I have Norton Internet Security
- I have CCleaner <If that has to do with anything

Don't know what else can be causing this problem. Anyone else have any solutions? Thanks.
That usually happens to me after I have played on a server that went tits up while I was in it. When I try and join other servers afterward its a crap shoot as to whether I'm going to get in or get the message you had. I normally just reboot my computer and all is good again.
