I have an original SS sniper helmet, and an M91/30 from 1942. My grandfather had all sorts of stuff but can’t seem to find it.

Nothing from WW2... Bunch of stuff of my Great-Grand Fathers who served in WW1..
He was in the first gas attack used by the germans.. He lost a lung.
If he died there, I wouldn't have been born.. Pretty lucky considering how many Canadian Soldiers were lost in WW1..
He had 2 Artillery rounds drop near him and fail to explode, if they did, he would have been dead... Thank god they didn't

Anyone good some books to recommend by the way?
Daggers Drawn by Mike Morgan a load of stories about the SAS during WW2, from an SAS jeep patrol in France out numbered 50-1 managing to shoot there way out of an ambush, killing a quater of the SS in the contact to a SAS soldier managing to talk his way through an enemy road block in full British uniform and tore a strip of the guard for neglecting to check his papers. Some good pics in there too.
Fighting Mad. The Memiors of Brigadier 'Mad Mike' Calvert DSO and Bar. Who was one of the Chindit bandits
The Arnhem Doctor. A good story of an Army Medical officer attached to the Paras that jumped into Arnhem. Read it years ago, cant seem to find a copy of it.
I have at home a German passport type thing of some German rupert also it has a picture of him and his mates on a downed British plane on a beach l belive to be in France. Apparantly its worth a few hundred quid. Which is nice.
I don't collect I use the interwebz for reading.
But I have seen actual Nazi/American things. Saw a "Potato Masher", Nazi Shoulder Patch, Gas mask, American Winter Pilot Suit, American Plane Machine Gun, A lot of Pistols (I think one was Hitler's or some big German Guy like that anyways), Rifles, etc.

I've got a few nice daggers from the Nazi side of things. SS Officer dagger, normall SS dagger, SA officer dagger, couple of normal SA daggers. Some Luftwaffe daggers, officers and not officers. Walther pistol etc. Pretty pricey habit to have though, lucky my grandfather knows a lot of people in the collectors business!

I've got two US helmets. I don't know when they are from, they could be WWII, Korea, or Nam. Plus I have an ammo container that is probably from Korea. I have a field belt with an unused med kit on it from the same era. That about it.
Apart from the usual lubeing of my gay lovers stink hole, it keeps the blades nice and corrosion free!ATG wrote:

I´m not really a collector. But when my grandpa passed away i found a belt which was given to the men who were in the Arbeitsfront to built the Siegfried line (Westwall in german). In WWII my grandpa got several medals and badges but he dumped it all before his unit surrrendered. You should visit Berlin, there is a huge
black market for Nazi stuff. At the former eastern front in Russia or Poland , they dig out dead soldiers and sell their stuff.A lot of that is sold in Berlin.
