Well, I just got back from my trip to washington D.C. It was really cool, I saw the japanese embassador, and got to tour the capitol. I saw the white house and saw the Decleratino of Independence, Bill of Rights, and a lot of other documents. It was really fun, but really crowded. The air and space museum was awsome, me and my buddy played a flight simulator that does flips and stuff, we got the high score of the day with 12 kills, we rocked. It was fun, I'm going to post pictures later if anyone cares.

Haha so people find that stuff fun? (not bragging) I live...errm just outside of D.C., I work on Connecticut Ave. I swear, in elementary school we took a trip to the air and space museum every year....I got sick of it. Never actually been to the Capitol, or seen the white house/declaration/BOR.

Sounds cool though Haha any chance you went to the z00?

So, no pat downs, terrorist screening? Japanese ambassador didn't vomit on you ( in retaliation for Bush 1 vomiting on the Japanese prime minister, for you younger cats ) or anything?

Everywhere we went you had to get screened, your bags, clothes, and everything. I didn't see the japanese embassador in person, she was getting escorted by police and you could see her in the car. She had little flags on the front of her limo.

We didn't go to any zoo lol. We went to the arlington cemetary which was cool. We went to almost all of the museums, and offices. It was really cool.

Yes, I saw the flame, which was cool, it never goes out, but the tour gudie said it went out once, but didn't say the reason, so I might have to research that. I also went to the Tomb of the Unknowns and saw the changing of the guards. There was so much I saw I can't even name everything, it was awsome though.

The zoo?  That is a joke ...

Here are the absolute ten best things to see in Washington DC:
1.  The Udvar-Hazy extension of the National Air & Space Museum (near Dulles Airport)
2.  The Holocaust Museum
3.  The International Spy Museum (admission & reservations required)
4.  Cherry blossoms at the Jefferson Memorial in the spring ... it is just like the photographs, only 3D ... HUGE amounts of people descend on this area at this time.
5.  The National Air & Space Museum
6.  A tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing ... I like to watch money being made.
7.  The American History Museum ... you could spend all day in there
8.  Congress, but only if they are in session ... otherwise boring
9.  The Vietnam Veterans memorial.  It is a simple design, but the experience is humbling.
10.  Fireworks on July Fourth on the mall ... an all day experience that is worth it.

If you are into culture and history, here are some quality venues:
1.  National Art Museum
2.  Performances at the Kennedy Center - everything is high quality
3.  The Ford Theater (where Lincoln was shot)
4.  Watergate (right beside the Kennedy Center)
5.  "The Awakening", an outdoor sculpture at Hanes Point (this is getting moved beginning May 2007)
6.  The "Exorcism Steps" in Georgetown
7.  Arlington Cemetery

Here are three cool things to do, but you have to know someone to get access:
1.  Walk up the stairs of the Washington Monument
2.  Tour the west wing of the White House
3.  Tour the Pentagon in Arlington (not that exciting, but just interesting to be there)

Here are the things to avoid:
1.  The Native American Museum  (unless you want to buy overpriced pottery)
2.  The National Zoo (yawn ... you have only a 5% chance of seeing the stupid pandas, and even if you do they will just be lying there)
3.  The National Archives to view the Constitution & Declaration of Independence (long lines ... and, you can barely read them anyway).
4.  Go up in the Washington Monument (great view, but the lines are just not worth the experience)
5.  Southeast Washington unless you want BF2 in real life
6.  My house
7.  The Beltway or any interstate during rush hour
