So today I hopped onto a ranked server with only a few of my clan members to practice. Nothing was going as planned, so a few teammates just started TKing themselves out of pure boredom. Since noone was really "practicing" anyway, I started TKing them too. More people joined the server and were complaining about us(naturally), but we had been there doing this before they came so we kept doing it for the round. I was having fun doing what I hate...Teamkilling and pissing off another clan member. That is until I received the dreaded PURPLE HEART.

My blood pressure went down and I went into a cold sweat cause I swore I would never get one. Oh how stupid that was...

I actually got that medal in my first day playing on ranked servers, I saw it was a great medal to win. Turns out, I was wrong and now resents getting it. Oh well, at least it is a medal, I don't care.

i got mine my first couple of days playing. It happened after i capped a flag, i got artied and i got the heart. I thought it was something good cause i died doing my duty or some shit....but it sucks

Back when I had like 6000 points or something it was the only medal I could get. It was shiny, so I wanted it...I got 5 kills pretty quick, then sat and ran into enemy fire over and over again. Since I couldn't get killed enough before the end of the round (damn medics...they only revive you when you WANT to die) I suicided like 4 or 5 times till the end of the round.

In retrospect, I kinda wished I'd waited and maybe have not gotten it...but it's shiny and fills out my stats a bit, so I guess I'm cool with it.

I had the 5 kills before i joined in the TK rampage with my clan...but I just looked at my stats and now I have a death streak of 16...damn. I think you do need the medal to fill some prerequisites for some other stuff though, so all is well. BTW, I'm not a stat and medal whore of any kind.
