I personally think that the m82a1 looks MUCH more badass than the 95.

In real life the M95 is more accurate than the M82, and it is a more satisfactory stealth sniper rifle
in game though you aren't shooting at ranges much greater than 400 meters most of the time, which if you're a good shot in IRL you can do with either rifle

so really the M82 would be a semiautomatic M95

They implemented the M82 into America's Army quite nicely. Only chance of hitting something is proned, firing kicks you out of the scoped view, and you have to find your target again in the scope (If you missed). Then again, sniping in America's Army is a lot harder than in BF2. (Cue Flames and Wookies)

What he said. DICE wouldn't have been able to make the gun a reasonable facsimile of the real thing, just like the SVD and Type 88 aren't.

Course they went the entire other direction with the AK-101 for some stupid reason so why I'm trying to argue they were being sensible I have no idea
