ya especially for some english classes from my experience. there are only 3 essays you have to do for the entire term. which is great but each paper is worth a quater of your grade.Mouse315 wrote:

yeah, at uni you can do whatever you want. No homework, no mandatory attendance. I'll have my first lesson for the week at 2pm today. I <3 uni life.

try going to an art college! completely different. miss 3 classes and you fail. plus, way more homework than i ever had in high school. i have at least 6 projects to do at any given point in time. its ridiculous.
the professors force their views on you and if you voice an opinion otherwise = fail.

If you're an engineering student (me a couple years ago), you will be assraped on a daily basis by coursework. If you're anything else, it's party time all the time.

high school: you learn very little, the point is more to keep you there all day and get you used to doing lots of work, even though you don't need to. Some subjects might actually be somewhat useful or let you learn the basics, but even then you're screwed.

Over here, college and high school generally mean the same thing, and we just use university to refer to what Americans call college.
