Do those words offend you? Are they words that identify a group of people?

How about a generalization involving such groups, such as: all Canadians eat fish. Does this offend?

Let's say, you are offended. What consequences should follow? Is a stern warning deserved? Sensitivity training? How about a job?

The day i get offended because of a simple word related to my nationality, country name or race is beyond me, it`s just a word !

I can understand certain words that spoken or intentionally used to cause inferiority can be offensive but they are still words and do no harm other than the harm taken imho !

We should rise above both the usage and harm of such words - the written and spoken word never causes conflict, but actions of conflict often hides behind words often misunderstood !

We had the same 'Neekerinpusu' 'niggerkiss' in Finland too, but the company changed the name to just 'suukko' 'kiss' years ago.

I still call them 'neekerinpusu' though as that's the name they had when I was a kid and no-one was offended
