My rank never went up when I had enough global points

its been a long time ago cause I slowed my playing time on bf2 but my friend just got 20,000 global points and he got the rank for it, I an still "Master Sergeant" and he is a "First Sergeant" and it says in both of our things on here that the next rank for both of us is "Sergeant Major" is there anything that can be done? or should I wait till the next rank up? but will it give me all my weapon unlocks?

I am out two weapon unlocks, I was there when he ranked and I was ticked lol, so unfair haha

if this is not the place for this discussion I am sorry, I thought maybe here since its sole purpose is for bf2 and its many new mod's

It's because he cares about hsi stats, and had certain badges before 20k and you didn't, therefore he ranked up to first sgt and you are only master sgt. It doesnt matter. You will both end up at 2nd lt eventually. check UBAR. It explains it all.

but it said for ranking up too that one reqired no badges or anything so I did not bother getting anything but ill wait im pretty close too the next rank anyway

alright.

the awards aren't mandatory for being promoted, but if you have a bunch of awards, you get a "special promotion" of sorts.

your friend had all his badges.

um I had all my medals for basic everything long time before I ranked and had a bunch of gold I have not got any awards after the fact but like idk is there a history stats on here so I can be sure?

...and the last two unlocks come only when you are promoted to Master Gunnery Sergean/Sergeant Major. In that case the "extra promotion" doesn't affect your unlocks.

maybe it screwed up and made me loose one cause I know I had them all long before thats why I said it told me I reqired nothing on here for that rank cause when you look at your stats on here it tells you what your missing it did not say anything

You got the last needed award on July 18 2006, but as I don't know the date you ranked up. So I can show you no 'proof'. But there is no other explanation.

This site should have longer historical data then the 3 months it shows in history, but you would have had to have been on the database before hand, and could only get that info by asking one of the admins. chuyskywalker or Duk0r, and I don't even know if they can give you that info... or if they would.
