I had some pot brownies...HELP!

Earlier tonight a buddy hooked me up with some pot brownies. I've never been high before in my life, so this is a first for me. Anyway, I ate the brownies and felt nothing. I waited a long-ass time and still no effects. So, I come home and goto bed. I wake up around midnight and couldn't stop feeling the bed. I can't describe it really, I've just been laying here for the past few hours just feeling the bed.

I'm seriously freaking out here. It's 3am here, and I need to be at work in 5 hours. I'm on thin ice as it is. I can't afford to show up high.

You said "waited a long-ass time and still no effects", so they were probably not very strong cookies.

The effects of ingesting (eating) cannabis last for anything upto 8 hours (by which time you've digested everything) - so, assuming "a long-ass time" is at least a few hours, you won't still be high in 5hours time.

As others have said - go back to sleep - you should be fine when you wake up.

I think its only americans who lose there job's over cannabis or people who operate heavy machinery.

Otherwise you will know in future not to take brownies(pot ones) when you gotta do stuff the next day.

Toke it up and you will be fine the next day.

Oh shut up. I can virtually guarentee that you yourself use drugs on a regular basis. Drink alcohol? Coffee? Tea? Pop? Eat chocolate? Use Asprin? Neurofen? Cough medicine? Ant-acids? The Pill? (if you're female)

None of those are illegal. Whatever your personal feelings towards illegal substances are, the fact remains that they're illegal. You break the rules, there are consequences. It doesn't matter if you agree with it or not. This guy chose to do something that may get him in trouble (since he can't sleep and will be dragging ass at work tomorrow), but it was his own choice. My choice is to not feel bad for him for doing this to himself.

I used to work in a bar where you were allowed to smoke pot, every now and again some young guy smoked too much and we allways gave them sugarwater.

well as it's your first time, it's normal for you to freak out especially if you wake up alone in ur bed and you ''feel" it... When you do EAT pot, the effect is way longer than if you had smoked a joint.. But for your job it's ok dude, don't worry.. one of my co-worker always come to job fuckin stoned... The only thing i can say is that when your gonna wake up your not going to feel like every morning... For exemple me... im not a regular smoker but yesterday a when flying high with Andoura .. and this morning i was working but HEy ! there no prob you are no more high but you feel tired and *cuz we smoked probably, eating shouldn't do that** my eye where burning like fuckin hell and where all red..

No im going to bed and you should do the same because YOU HAVE WORK TOMOROW MORNING!!! lol goodnight and dont start to do drugs everyday, i say that once in a while its okay as long as you dont NEED it...
