Europe did get involved last time. I am in the KRH and we (despite news reports) were the first to arrive at Pristina Airport. It was a NATO thing not just a US thing.Turquoise wrote:

Im from Bosnia and believe me Muslims there are not like Muslims from ME you see on the TV.
We drink alcohol, gamble and have sex as much as we can. Our woman have the same rights as men. They walk around half naked as in any other European country. We rank among the top countries for freedom of the press and expression. We are basically as "western" as any other European country.
Bosnia never had much relations with any ME countries, and add few decades of Communism and isolation in the mix and you get current Bosnia.
Only problem we had was when the war started Bosnia had no army and people were unarmed. The UN council in its all wisdom decided to put an arms embargo on Bosnia. So when 100K people died and we lost half of our territory it was hard to turn down the "freedom fighters" from ME that were coming to fight and bringing weapons. With them came radical Islam that fortunately never gain a foothold in Bosnia.
Some of those fighters stayed in Bosnia after the war and there are maybe a 1000 Bosnians that converted and thats it. They are not allowed to open their schools or Mosques, and some of them are even not allowed to enter Mosques. We are tougher on them than ANY other European country.
And as far as those rallys go, they are a problem because they are a reminder of Milosevics days in power. But as the the article says, this time the goverment is not supporting them but arresting them. So thats a good sign.

And that's the exact example I'd use too... those of you living in the southwest, how would you feel if one day the Mexicans claimed the land as their own based on them being the majority of the population? Not bashing America or anything but there is so much history behind the Kosovo conflict and territorial dispute that its incomparable with Mexicans in California. For example, I know the west had decided to divide Yugoslavia a long time ago, and that using the Albanians was part of that plan. That the Serbs are not the warmongering bloodthirsty nationalists they were portrayed to be prior to the war in Yugoslavia. I know that not everything can be attributed to that asshole Slobodan Milosevic, in the sense that he wasn't the only one committing atrocities. In fact, I know of the role the Albanians have played in the region for hundreds of years, starting with the fact that they sided with the Turks during the reign of the Ottoman empire.
But, to the point: What is so different in the example? Both are cases whereby illegal immigrants are flooding an area. Only in the case of Kosovo, when the right circumstances came about, they claimed it as their own.
