I was playing anti tank and there were two guys taking a flag, so I gave one with the sraw and jumped at the other one, but I missed the "3" key and accidentally hit "2" and got the pistol. I thoght what the heck I'll shoot, no time time to change. The guy was lying and I shot him in the head. Here's the funny part, his head bounced for each shot, haha! I hit him like 3-4 shots but he didn't die and killed me instead.
The pistol is quite powerful and I was surprised that he didn't die, after all I hit him since the head bounced

I laughed good while I shot at him, it just looked so damn funny when he was lying there bouncing the head for each of my shots

But he had a quite big helmet (US) so I was wondering if it protect the head, I think I only managed to hit the helmet not the, teh, face.

I guess you don't pay much attention to detail. For example, try going into a server with FF Off. Go up to a team mate whose prone and unload a clip on his head. It will "bounce" due to the impact of the bullet

The helmet does protect.  I knifed a guy once that was crouching and hit the back of his head.  You can imagine my surprise when all I heard was "chink!"  I swung again, he swung around, and the scoreboard read that we each earned 2 points

I'll second that.  In fact, I think my helmet is actually magnatized, and causes what would be near misses to pull the bullets into my cranium.

Well in the real world the helmet will protect from glancing blows, shrapnel,  and a knife but a direct shot and you're dead.
