Joystick Jet Gunning!!

How Do good pilots like califragilistic, manage to be so accurate with aircraft guns, it looks to me like they are using mouse+key (but claim to use joystick), they make very minute adjustments that i dont see possible to do.

In his video, Cali claimed to use a Logitech freedom 2.4. Which is essentially the same the Extreme 3d pro (what i have except its wireless)

SO THAT BEGS THE QUESTIONS.

1. Is there a way he adjusted his sensitivity to make minute adjustments when gunning comparable to keyboard and mouse characteristics?

2.Adjustment of Joystick sensitivity For the extreme 3d pro?

lead your targets, plus some joysticks are very sensitive and change direction and position with very light touch.

Yeah adjust your deadzones, I run 5% on my X and Y axis. It makes for more accurate movement and less unintended actions.

You can do that in the logitech profiler.

I cant use a joystick to save my life. I stick to M+K but know Ill always end up losing to most joystick users

I have a high sensitivity for my mouse for aviator though to give me a better chance.

no he can just use his damn joystick. It's not that hard: you gently move it. I can do it. He can do it. Any proper pilot can do it. I guess it's just one of those things I'll never understand.

It's easy really. As for gunning, with a joystick you can move it at a constant angle which really helps. I am now often able to gun down jets without them even noticing until they turn into smoke!

Try and get adjusted to a joystick, you'll find yourself a LOT more capable of getting some better jet, and even heli kd's heh. Also, you can move in a constant speed which is fantastic, I can constantly fly at 50% torque etc which is VERY handy in some situations.

All you have to do when gunning down a chopper is ither go high when you know wher they are and come down on them with guns blazing OR when gunning at them aim slightly in fron of them to allow for the server ping it might take 2 passes............but be carful if you come straight at a chopper and they have a good gunner you might get tv'd (like I do = TV jets ftw lmao), so best to go high or side on at them.

thats true. i used mouse for about 1 year before i went over to joystick. its all about finding your own settings

You can do pretty much everything with m+k as you can with a joystick.

Only advantage for joysticks is that you can do it one handed and you can set thrust.

The first one isn't much use because what you gonna do with a spare hand while you fly? Have a wank or something as you get kills?

In a vehicle if you TK someone, it counts toward you kill total
