... At least where I live.
My brothers are both 14 now and are in the process of the Christian Confirmation. I haven't been to this myself, as I don't think of myself as Christian, but I have talked to them about what they do, and it is quite shocking actually.
Their second day was about pollution. Not that much about Christianity, but OK, I'll let it pass. But then I heard what they were talking about. The Priest used the WHOLE lesson to talk about how bad our current prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, leader of a Socialist party, is and how much he pollutes the world. This is NOT how it is supposed to be. I am pretty sure that if it had been a more Church-friendly party in the government, they wouldn't have said that.
One week later, they were told that they had to walk around the streets with "I support KYOTO" pins and gather money to support it. For fun, I called the church, said I was going up to confirmation and said that I did not support KYOTO and that I did not want to gather money for it. They said I had to. I asked what would happen if I didn't, and the lady on the other end strictly said: "Then you can't get your Confirmation."
They haven't done anything that has to do with God, Jesus the Bible or Christianity at all. You don't go to confirmation so that the local priest can tell you how you should vote and which political party is the best, do you? Could this have anything to do with the Church being owned by the Government?
