The Sunnis say they will be treated unfair if Iraq is partitioned into three states; I'd say if it not divided the Sunnis inside Iraq will be slaughtered. Their only salvation with Saddam gone is to embrace this process, as the alternative is to have another brutal thug of one sect or another rule Iraq, in which case it will surely not be the Sunnis again.
Why does this guy have the ability to withdraw 40 members instead of just himself? Because it's still a clan dominated culture, and the lower ranked dudes will do what he says. What is vision, but a fantasy where him and the murdering bastards who were part of Saddams government retain power.

At first it seems really bad, another terrible day in Iraq. But, when you read the story it says that the Sunnis are turning on the Al-Qiada ( sp ) and killing them.
Not that it won't be a long hard bloody slog, but if common sense prevails these people will live free, no matter who is the American president.
