Why do they may i ask. Is it because the sight hairs are to thick, it is the same thing as the m24 except it can shoot through armour glass, and is more powerfull and give most people who have talent unleash their true talent. The m24 is argurbly one of the best guns for sniping. It has a long reload time (all snipers do, except the type 88 and the SVD) but the m24 take 2 shot unstead of 4-6 to kill a person. enought about the m24, the m95 is a more power full gun has less bullet drop and can shoot through apc glass, vodnik, humvee, heli, and plane cockpit. there might be one small disadvantge to this gun the sights. this down fall is brought back up in its accurecy and less bullet drop. For example today i was playing 64 player map (Gulf of Oman) me and my sniping buddey were sniping i was useing the m95 and he was useing the m24. We had 3 encounters with heli whores (same person) and i took him out. big woop yea. I just got the unlock the day before and my buddy has be sniping since he first played (all most 2 thousand sniper kills, Dont know why he wasnt usiing the m24) I got first place with 50 kills and he got 20, now I am not the best sniper in the world but the m95 has given me a distinct advantage over the m24 and i beat him down in kills. i think people should realy give the gun a chance and use it instead of bashing the shit out of it and never unlocking it, so plz befor u bash it use it it may help you like it did me

being an ex-CS and DOD sniper, the m95 was my first unlock and i was highly disappointed.
you mention accuracy, where, in my opinion, the m24 is more accurate by a long shot (like my pun? sniping? long shot? yeah, moving on...).

The main thing wrong with it is the chunky crosshairs, this gives it a slight disadvantage when going for headshots over the longer ranges. The only other disadvantage is its distinctive sound. It makes it very easy to pinpoint a sniper's location using sound alone.

Because as powerful as the M95 is in real life, it doesnt kill the person in one hit like it should in the game.
i like the m95 and every gun in this game. you just gotta learn to use it.

I think me and my friend have systematically proven that the M95 (in field tests) is less reliably accurate than the M24. I'm quite good with the M24 if I do say so myself, and I do. and my friend is quite good with the M95. we shot at various things and proved that I could hit things much better than he could with his M95. we were shooting at like, signs and thigns so there is no "small head shot" factor involved. take it or leave it.
no, you see the real problem is not fat crosshairs, or muzzle flash or accuracy--it's because it's a sniper rifle. I occasionally lay down and snipe, but I find it dangerously boring. I mean why would you want to sit on the MEC airstrip shooting at cockpits when you could be in a cockpit blowing up fools? Or if it's karkand, why snipe when you could be duking it out in the alleyways with some squadmates?
I know this is absurdly biased but to me sniping isn't active enough.
On a different note the m95 is a crip gun that simply beats the m24 in the badass factor, yes the badass factor--you know. well i use the m95 alot, for me though i have to aim a bit higher above the head to get a shot but i dont care. And it can destroy a heli, ive don e it
i love the M95, is the rifle that i have used the most, also is good for stealing kills, if you see an smoking chopper, just shoot with the M95 and you'll get your free kills, once i saw a smoking jet fighter comming in a dive to the carrier deck and i shooted at the pilot, but i miss, but the jet exploted just

but is easier with M95 takes out 1 healt bar anywhere you hit the chopper and 2 if you hit the wind shield, besides you have longer range, when the chopper is trying to scapeKkookie wrote:

yesterday i [KILLED] the pilot and the gunner of the attack heli while they were trying to scape, i got them before they dissapeared of my screen
I have learned that sniping with the pkm is quite fun because I can unload a lot more bullets on the guy. Although I have used the G3 and F2000 for the same purposes. I have tested the m95 some but that is on teammates just to see if it really works that well.

Off course .50cal bolt action rifle is unforgettable experience to shoot, you know that horsekick in your shoulder but after 200 shots -> auch..
Maybe a little off topic comment,but deal with it.
i like the m24, because when i snipe, i like to be way beyond view of someone. the smaller crosshairs make it possible to hit them in the head at that distance. the m95 crosshairs would be covering almost their whole body from these long distances. also i like how the m24 is quieter. i havnt used the m95 much so i havnt had the time to get used to it yet. but soon i'll play it a lot more and test it out in every situation to see which i like more. sometimes i like it if im on maps with blackhawks or if im at a place that i need to shoot through cockpits. i have atleast 50+ kills from getting someone inside a cockpit. including a hovering f35 on wake that crashed down onto an enemy so i got 2 kills
