Knife Fight At Sharqi!!!! Hilarious!

Was playing last night on EAplay 64 server but there were only about 15 players.

Initially at Cleen Sweep, playing MEC, got bored, asked if anyone was up for a knife fight.
This guy on the USMC replies. We set a place and have a go! Really fun just the 2 of us goint at it woth only knifes. only spolit occasionally by in interupting teammate (from either side) who decided to take shots at us.
We even asked our respective team not to kill us. hahahaah!

Anyway next map, Sharqi, we go at it again. This time, several more players join in the fun.
So if you can picture the scene, open grass area near MEC arty, about 3 MEC and 2 USMC having a knife fight!

What made it funny was that the fights were 1 vs 1. So the rest were standing aside, patiently waiting their turn. We got a supply crate drop to serve as a soapbox and laid out AT mine to mark out the ring. A couple of us even kneeled at each other as a form of a bow before each fight....
And all this was going on while others were actually going about playing the proper game, taking spawn points and stuff!!

We did get the occasional guy coming up to blow us to bits but we just respawned and carried on.
We also had a medic among one of us so that we we did die, we would just get a revive!
Dont really care if people think we were cheating, cos it was damn fun. Got a chance to improve my knifing skills! I mean we werent just standing there stabbing each other for the points but really god to honest street fight style knifing.

If anyone from that knife fight reads this, i am sure they will agree with me, it was a blast! just something different from the regular game play and a bit of a laugh. I know games like that it cant be done often at all so that game was a gem in my mind. Its what games are for, a good time and laughs.

Eek, when I read this I could feel the prickly hand of 'stat padder' being banded about. But I have to agree with you, it's fun, it's a game and it's meant to be enjoyed...although your sig line may suggest something else to others (j/k)

Only got a basic knife, not even vet. It was a first time for me, thats why it was so fun. only got 40 knife kills total.
I said it was fun, didnt say i was good at it, LOL!

I do care about getting the badges but the one i want is the explosives badge. dont even have the basic one.
could have taken advantage of that particular map (big map, few players) to go get the explosives but knifing was just too damn fun.

Like i said, some people might call it stat padding, but if i were one ( a stat padder), would i be relating this story?

anyways if anyone comes across me during game play and wants a knife fight, just tell me where....hahaha.
knifing rocks......fingers really ache after a while though....lol

since it was a mano a mano fight its isnt stat padding at all. sure the knife/pistol only servers were banned but thats another matter.

anyway i hope i will have the same expirience some day cause it sure is fun and so far i only had a few encounters where my opponent fought with me knife only.

I have to admit, anytime that've I've had knife fight with someone, it's been the most fun I've had. I've never asked, or replied to people asking/seen people asking, I just bump into a guy with a knife and pull mine out and go at it. It's so mad, and fun, but almost always gets spoilt by omeone else with a gun.

It's a shame about the knife servers, I didn't get a chance to go on one, but honestly I would have liked to for my expert knife and pistol badges. They're just so demanding!

It dosen't happen often but at close combat if im a Sniper I don't dare use my Pistol, thats my Medium Range Weapon, so I Pull out my Knife, and 1 out of 10 people, depending on the situation, they will do the same if they are Good Sport and we can Knife it out...me being Highly Skilled at the Knife I rarely Lose, infact I don't think i've ever Lost a Knife Fight on Ranked.

But on my Clans Practice Server where we have Knife Fight Free for Alls, lol...Can't Defend Yourself When you Call a "All On Me" lol.

Tips For Knife: Use A Kit With Long Sprint - Run, Jump, Prone, Slash...If You Land and Miss Get Up, Do a 180 Spin As Fast As Possible, And Repeat. lol.

After getting my basic last nite in Karkand after six tries, it is alot of fun. But not when you either pull out a knife to engage a duel or run towards someone with it in your hand only to have someone at close range 203 you. Not only they can't aim or fight with a knife they have to 203 you why you wield a knife. I love it when I came across a couple of guys that put thier gun away and drawn to prepare for a fight.

Looking through some old posts and came across this one and cant help but think this may have begun the pistol, knives and paddles servers. Is this where it all began? This was before my BF2 time.

my mate and I do it when we come across one another on the same server

we start out on the same team, but then one of use will do something that annoys the other .... then its knives out... u talkin to me... gunna cut chu boy....

If a sniper pulls a knife on me, I pull a knife, step back twice then fuck them up in the face with my gun and teabag them. Serves them right for being claymore whores

Yeah I know the topic is old as hell but I was thinking this could have been how the knife and pistol servers started. I was curious how they started or if they just began to get the badges?

Who cares if anyone thinks it was stat padding or not. Bottom line is that he had a lot of fun and that's what this game is about. I wish I could have been there for that... the fact that you had an arena set up is hilarious.
