Should EA make it so you CAN'T switch teams at the end of the round?

blarrrhg.. Well, It's another dead horse that i'm gonna beat ... to death.. but it must be done.

I really think EA needs to make it so that you can not switch teams manually within the last 100 tickets or 10 minutes of the round. Auto balance would still work.. so the if # of players became uneven than it would balance them... Or something along these lines.
I'm sooooo sick of playing an entire round and kicking the other team's ass (or vice versa) and having the top players of the LOSING team, switch to the WINNING team JUST for the god damn win.
This not only pisses off the people that have been dominating the round on the winning team, but it makes the teams horribly uneven in terms of skill for the following round.

Far to many times i've seen countless people switch within the last 10 tickets of the round from the losing to the winning team. Unfortunatly I've noticed this specificly with "Clans" .. where 3 or 4 people from one "clan" will be on the losing team.. and rather than take the loss together.. work on where they got beat and play a FAIR game...they switch and consider themselves "skilled".

This is disgusting in my opinion.. it defeats the purpose of the game.. and talors only to those who play the game specificly for the ribbons and stats...

TWL doesn't mean dick when the only reason your clan's been "winning" is because you're a bunch of team switching sore losers.

I agree totally, though with one exception.  You should allowed to change teams if you join the game and your team is getting beaten senseless and its like ~10 tickets to 100 since the game will end soon and you didn't have a chance to help your team try to win.  OR it could be that if the game ends within 2 minutes of you joining the loss isn't recorded for you since you were in game such a short time but you aren't allowed to just switch teams.

What should be done is a calculation for the amount of time a player spends on a particular team/squad.  So if you play as USMC for 80% of the round's total time and switch to MEC, for example, for the remaining time, your fate still lies with USMC.  if a player plays in a certain squad for most of the game to switch to the winning squad right at the end, their name should not appear in that squad's listing at the end of the round, either.

I think that there should be no joining/swithing/getting swiched to a team when there is less than 15% tickes or time left.  No cheep wins or Loses  because you joined the server at the end of a round.

I hate geting swiched cause half of the other team left to find an easyer server to play on cause there team is loosing.

No leave it the way it is, if EA keeps listening to these stupid suggestions its gonna turn into a big piece of shit no one will want to play it anymore.

In the next patch the tanks will be made out of plastic and you're bullets will shoot rubber thanks to the 4 year old mentality cry babies.

I think this is a pretty good idea. I was thinkin more along the lines of if you've spent a majority of your time on one team say, over 50% then you can't switch.. it just doesn't let you. The only way to be switched after half the round is up (either time or ticket) is by autobalance.

You play with your team, you lose with your team...tired of losing because your team sucks? then go find a new server...allowing people to switch to the team that is kicking their ass is defeating the purpose of the teamplay.

what a stupid pointless post that was. The next patch will actually increase the realism, not make it into the fairytale you're getting your rocks off to.  Suggestions like this are what game developers want...Things that will improve the gameplay. Maybe if you suggested something useful once in a while you wouldn't have such a ignorant attitude towards feedback?

allow teamswitching but only assess the win to the team you scored the most points on. If I play USMC on karkand and get 42 or so points and then we start losing 50-10 or something and a bunch of my friends come on the server, I'll hop. The win should ALWAYS be assessed to the team you contributed most to (highest score, not subtracting TKs so you can't intentionally bring it down and then swap and get 1 kill for the win.)

ALSO: I'm sick and TIRED of the bullshit where new joiners ALWAYS get assigned to the USMC (or SF equivalent) team FIRST. The team with the FEWER tickets should ALWAYS get the extra man assigned to them when a new player joins and the teams are even.

actually just disable unbalanced teams....you can only switch teams all the time if the server has enabled it.

So no problem with it, just avoid there servers where there is not teambalance.

no i think they could care less about wins, i think people are much more tempted to get double the points.....

two things:

-some servers actually don't allow this. If you try to switch at the beginning of a new round (which is what I think you meant) you will not be able to.

-Losing sucks, sucking is not fun, and fun is what games are about. Losing is not what games are about. Winning is not what games are about. Well, actually winning is kind of since winning is fun which leads me to my point: If you're on a losing team, one that really does suck, you're probably not having as much fun as ppl on the other team.
Go ahead and switch if you don't think you're gonna have fun, eventually people will leave and new people will join to make the teams more balanced.
