After all, he could be idling to gain more map/theater/army time.
I guess it is a form of stat padding, just that the other person hasn't agreed to it.

How is it stat padding? Maybe the player was in capable of moving or that was the extent of his game play, seriously doubt it but still, if you are in the game and are idiotic enough to stand still or go afk, then you are agreeing to get killed by the other team.
And by your definition of stat padding, and I am pushing the envelope here a little, when I decide to respawn and check out the scores or look at the map and I get killed because I wasn't moving then that person should have their stats wiped? That is just.....stupid to be blunt about it.

Really?! I have to disagree, if you joined a server and walked away then that is your problem, meaning the player who walked away here, and I got the chance to kill him or her I would because guess what that is normal game play. If I chose for the next round to use only c4 to kill you whether you are moving or not is my decision. Its not using an exploit in the game, as is the definition of stat padding by EA and DICE, it using the stupidity of the other player to your advantage.Jameseyy wrote:

Again I am going EA's definition of stat padding which actually does not apply to this from a technical stand point. But everything is in the eye of the beholder.

It could be the enemy commander standing around commanding.
A very stupid commander that immediately puts the command screen up everytime he respawns at the same spawn location.
Definitely not stat-padding, but stupidity.

I pistol whipped a guy last week on 2142 while he was AFK. The round was moving slow and I was commanding, kept seeing the same red dot every time I ran a scan, so I checked him out and decided I wanted to help my team get the win and speed up the round as it was a borring round to begin with. I think I got him about 15 times. Luckily one of his buddies spawned next to him and I was able to get both and resupply without wasting a crate.
