My take on this is this: it's a fucking game. The point of a game is to do well and win. If you want to win in a shooting game, you get the best weapon. Would you use a breech loading rifle because you don't want to use those noobish automatic rifles? Plus, if you were any better than the noobs you talk about, you'd be able to kill a G36E user. I have absolutely no problems with them, I find it easy to own the shit out of them.

Different kind of noob. I know.
I am a medic whore. I prefer all the rifles, and I like having health on hand. Reviving and longer sprints are nice extras. When I'm US or some other good guy army, I prefer the G36 because it's superior to the M16. I also prefer the iron sights of the G36 to those of the M16. I've always hated the overall handling of the M16, so my first upgrade was the L85. I also dislike the three-round burst. It's terrible in close quarters.
When I'm MEC or Insurgents, I always roll with the AK47. It is my Excalibur. I prefer the AK over all other rifles. Having automatic fire and a clear iron sights come in handy when some idiot starts hopping around like Super Mario trying to smash goombas.
